The Senator 60"

Went with Boomering as they were a local company, had good reviews and local pick up was available.

Dug the hole for the footing at 1m deep, belled out on the sides at the bottom, 0.5m x 0.5m width. Took 42, 20kg bags of cement to fill it.

Managed to put the pole up and bolt the arms on by myself but two people would be better.

Hired a 3m material hoist to install the backboard, only took about an hour to install it with the hoist and one other person to help steady it. Definitely worth the money hiring the hoist as the backboard is pretty heavy and would be awkward to lift up to the height to bolt it up to the arms.

I was impressed that there were nylon washers supplied to go between the moving parts to prevent wear of metal on metal and therefore prevent rust.

All the parts for the system seem good quality, very heavy duty, the powder coating looks to be decent quality and thickness.

One con would be the instructions. They need some work although it’s not too hard to work out what goes where, as there not a lot of fixings.

Overall the system looks awesome out the front of the house, it’s received a lot of attention from the neighbours already and the kids are loving it.
I think it’s money well spent, it looks like it will last a long time and outlive one of those portable systems a few times over.
